Microsystems has collaborated with 3M™ to solve the common issue of inconsistent documentation and communication of sterilization monitoring results to other departments. This inconsistency can create headaches for both sterilization processing professionals and the clinical departments they serve. The answer comes in the form of an interface between the 3M™ Attest™ 290 and 290G Auto-readers and Microsystems’ SPM® Sterile Processing Information System. This interface provides hospitals and surgery centers with a trusted method of monitoring sterilization along with instant access to results and documentation. By having this information available in real-time, the risk of hospital-acquired infections can be greatly reduced.
