History
Materials Management Microsystems was founded and incorporated in the State of Wisconsin in 1991. Microsystems’ president, Ed Becker, started the company after working as a Sterile Processing Manager and as a consultant to Sterile Processing Departments across the country for a number of years. He saw many SPDs fighting an uphill battle to perform increasingly complex tasks in an environment where manual documentation techniques were used almost exclusively. The concept of computerization in Sterile Processing gave birth to Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM®), Microsystems’ first and still primary product.
As SPM® has evolved, so have other Microsystems products and services so that we now offer a wide range of sterile processing information systems from highly scalable entry-level to fully-integrated.
Microsystems remains the market leader in sterile processing information systems, embodying the special blend of focused, one-on-one customer service and strong work ethic often associated with a small company, while offering a full spectrum of products, services, and experience that a larger corporation is able to provide. In addition, Microsystems is affiliated with a number of other companies to ensure continued breadth, relevance, and satisfaction in the products and services provided to our customers.
The keys to Microsystems’ success are its outstanding products and services, dedicated staff, and loyal customers.
